Lets talk about the FOAM:

The two most popular foam choices for Pews Cushions and Kneelers are the firm high density foam V38 and the 6lb reconsituted (multicoloured) foam.

Church Pews are not very comfortable for a number of reasons not least of which is that back in the day we were all just that little bit smaller than in today's society. Church Pews are very narrow and don't give much support. Most Church Pew runners are only 2" or 3" in thickness. When faced with a narrow seat and not a very thick cushion you need High density Firm foam to give the maximum support

For Church Pew Runners either V38 or 6lb recon will be suitable as a seat . We suggest for kneelers the best choice is the 6lb Recon.

We recommend you add stockinette cover to your foam. Stockinette forms a barrier between foam and fabric helping to prevent fabric wear and foam going out of shape . By adding a layer of Dacron polyester fibre to your Church Pew Runners you will soften the appearance
