WHY CAN'T I GET A SMOOTH FINISH TO MY UPHOLSTERY ?
Once have bonded your foam to your headboard its time to get busy being creative by getting on with upholstering it .This is the fun part of this headboard project, it can be the most frustrating part to, as no matter how hard you try you just can get the edges to look smooth and uniform. you keep creating lumps and ridges when you pull down and staple the fabric to the back of the headboard.
Don't be too upset with yourself, you need SILICON SPRAY ! No upholsterer, would ever lay fabric directly on to foam. Foam and fabric need to smoothly slide past each other when pulling up the fabric to be stapled to your headboard. Glover-silk is the perfect barrier to prevent grabbing. Glover-Silk won't make you in to an upholsterer overnight, so don't give up the day job just yet.
The great thing about Glover -Silk silicon spray it has many other uses around the home
